Certification Management Limited (CML) was established in June 2013. Offering a complete range of compliance services, we are an EU Notified Body (No 2503) for ATEX EU/2014/34. This is supported by our UKAS accreditation (No 8175) to IEC 17025 and IEC 17065 and our full scope of accreditation allows us to issue any type of certificate. Appointed in 2014 we are also an Ex certified body (ExCB) and test laboratory (ExTL) with the full scope of standards.

This short course has been designed to provide a general overview of Certification Management Limited and how non-electrical equipment is certified in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.

Andrew Holmes is an Ex certification engineer and technical manager at CMLEx in the United Kingdom. He has been working in this specific field of engineering for over 15 years. During this time, Andy has gained experience working for both manufacturers of Ex related equipment and also company's providing certification. Andy is also working in the field of functional safety and has achieved FS Engineer status from TUV SUD : ID.TA16010554  He holds a degree in electronic and computer engineering and is a member of the IET.
